People are the heart of our business. Our passions involve helping clients create spaces that truly fit how they live.
About Duell Construction
Duell Construction is a construction company based in Manhattan, Kansas. We have developed a niche in the remodeling of older homes and commercial spaces. The unique challenges that accompany these projects are our specialty.
We understand that any remodel can be overwhelming to the homeowner, and it is our goal to not only provide a quality product but to guide the entire process as we strive to create an experience that is enjoyable...as it should be!
As a contractor, I believe that trust is the foundation of any healthy working relationship. Having been in the Manhattan area construction industry for 13 plus years, I am proud of the solid reputation I have built as a trustworthy general contractor who highly values both the homeowner as well as the final product.
"We had a great experience working with Ben and his team. He was responsive, patient and treated us like family."
- Emily Brueseke
As an experienced general contractor, I have developed a team of subcontractors that work on the same “people and quality” premise and are the best representation of our work ethic that I have found.

About Ben Duell
I grew up the youngest of fifteen children on a farm west of Goodland, Kansas. I graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in agronomy and then from Emmanuel House Seminary with a Masters of Divinity. I have three beautiful children (Jaiya, Tucker, and Riggins) and an amazing wife, Kristin, who has been tremendously supportive of me and my career. While waiting on Kristin to finish school, I stumbled into the construction business and have never looked back.
Before starting Duell Construction, I worked as a project manager for Capstone for eight years and then as a superintendent for Schultz Construction for two years. Ever since I first started in the construction/remodel industry, I fell in love with renovating old houses.
For me, there is something richly rewarding about taking what is old, broken down, worn out, and sometimes forgotten and renovating it to have new life and purpose. I'm passionate about this process! It is very comparable to the work that God has done in my own life. As much as I love and value the process of fixing up old houses and businesses, I equally as much enjoy getting to know the clients I work with. A majority of the time, when we are done with a project I feel as if I've not only provided a quality product but gained new friends as well. Ultimately, people are at the heart of everything I do.
