Duell Construction is a construction company based in Manhattan, Kansas. We have developed a niche in the remodeling of older homes and commercial spaces. The unique challenges that accompany these projects are our specialty.

We understand that any remodel can be overwhelming to the homeowner, and it is our goal to not only provide a quality product but to guide the entire process as we strive to create an experience that is enjoyable...as it should be!

We believe that trust is the foundation of any healthy working relationship. Duell Construction represents a combined (60) years of experience in the construction industry, and we are proud of our solid and trustworthy reputation for valuing the people, the process, and the final product.

We have developed a team of subcontractors that work on the same “people and quality” premise and are an excellent representation of our work ethic.

I grew up the youngest of fifteen children on a farm west of Goodland, Kansas. I graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in agronomy and then from Emmanuel House Seminary with a Masters of Divinity. I have three beautiful children (Jaiya, Tucker, and Riggins) and an amazing wife, Kristin, who has been tremendously supportive of me and my career. While waiting on Kristin to finish school, I stumbled into the construction business and have never looked back.

Before starting Duell Construction, I worked as a project manager for Capstone for eight years and then as a superintendent for Schultz Construction for two years. From the beginning, I have been drawn toward renovating old houses (or spaces).

For me, there is something richly rewarding about taking what is old, broken down, worn out, and sometimes forgotten and renovating it to have new life and purpose. I'm passionate about this process! It is very comparable to the work that God has done in my own life. As much as I love and value the process of fixing up old houses and businesses, I equally as enjoy getting to know the clients I work with. A majority of the time, when we are done with a project I feel as if I've not only provided a quality product but gained new friends as well. Ultimately, people are at the heart of everything I do.

"As an interior design firm, we had very specific goals and high expectations for the process, execution and final product. Those expectations were more than met and a great working relationship developed into more of a friendship in the process. Ben is highly relational and a good listener. He was always eager to hear our ideas and look at ways to bring them to fruition. Fabulous experience, all around!"

From our initial meeting to discuss the project through completion, we felt Ben and his team were honest, trustworthy and treated us like family. Every detail was handled with care and pride — and it was a joy to have them in our home transforming a beautiful new space. We’d work with them again in a heartbeat. "
