I grew up the youngest of fifteen children on a farm west of Goodland, Kansas. I graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in agronomy and then from Emmanuel House Seminary with a Masters of Divinity. I have three beautiful children (Jaiya, Tucker, and Riggins) and an amazing wife, Kristin, who has been tremendously supportive of me and my career. While waiting on Kristin to finish school, I stumbled into the construction business and have never looked back.
Before starting Duell Construction, I worked as a project manager for Capstone for eight years and then as a superintendent for Schultz Construction for two years. From the beginning, I have been drawn toward renovating old houses (or spaces).
For me, there is something richly rewarding about taking what is old, broken down, worn out, and sometimes forgotten and renovating it to have new life and purpose. I'm passionate about this process! It is very comparable to the work that God has done in my own life. As much as I love and value the process of fixing up old houses and businesses, I equally as enjoy getting to know the clients I work with. A majority of the time, when we are done with a project I feel as if I've not only provided a quality product but gained new friends as well. Ultimately, people are at the heart of everything I do.
